ASC launched at Brussels Seafood Expo
On thé spot where every year the most important players in the seafood business present themselves: the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels, ASC has presented itself with a (pro bono) by Ogilvy developped logo and house style. Meetings and talks with hunderds of potential partners in the sector resulted in follow up meetrings and interviews held with numerous journalist led to a lot of media exposure.
The visual identity that Ogilvy Amsterdam produced for the ASCrepresents exactly what the ASC stands for: transparency, responsibility, credibility, independence, linking demand with supply and effectiveness.
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Philip Smith had three extremely busy days: ‘This was the first time the ASC presented itself at an international seafood exposition. Seeing all the meeting it was like the whole industry was eager to find out what the ASC can do for them’.
The presentation today of the ASC at the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels was an important stepping stone towards the introduction of a credible consumer label for responsible aquaculture for twelve seafood species groups mid 2011. Major producers, traders, processors and retailers have publicly supported the ASC.
